Paresthesia is a sensation of discomfort and "tingling" that indicates irritation of sensory peripheral nerves or posterior roots. In most cases, is self-resolving, but in another smaller portion of cases, there is a lasting or even permanent effect of the problem, that in these cases have not established a standard treatment with good resolution. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy which basically consists in the stimulation of specific points on the body using disposable needles to promote the balancing of subtle energies that circulate throughout the body in order to avoid, treat and control pain and organ dysfunction. This paper describes a case of patient I.F.S.S., 51, with paresthesia of the left lower alveolar nerve, which occurred after a surgery for bone graft taken in order to perform dental implants, there was about two years and was treated with acupuncture.
