PEREZ, Flávio Eduardo Guillin et al. Cardiovascular effects of local anesthetic prilocaine with felypressin 3% and licocaine 2% in normotensive patients. RPG, Rev. pós-grad. []. 2011, 18, 3, pp. 134-139. ISSN 0104-5695.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the cardiovascular effects of intraoral lidocaine clhoridrate 2% (20 mg/mL) and prilocaine clhoridrate 3% (30 mg/mL) with (0.03 U.l/mL) felipressin infiltrative administration in ASAI patients. Twenty patients were submitted to bilateral maxillar periodontal interventions with a week of interval. Clinical control time parameters (SIrtolyc Arterial Pressure - SAP, Diastolyc Arterial Pressure - DAP, Meadium Arterial Pressure - MAP) and cardiovascular frequence (CF) were controlled during periodontal procedures monitored using oscilometric and photopletismografic methods. Two anesthetics cartridge were administrated in each session: Xilocaíne® 2% (Group I) and Citanest® 3% (Group II). This clinical parameters were presented as mean and were registred each minute: (1) basal time (20 minutes); (2) reception room (5 minutes); (3) in dental chair (5 minutes); (4) second minute during the first anesthesia; (5) fifth minute after needle removal; (6) two minutes during second anesthesia; (7) five minutes after needle removal; (8) ten minutes during clinical procedures; (9) five minutes in repose ANOVA test showed no significant differences on clinical procedures stages for SAP, DAP, MAP and CF variables between groups I and II.
