Ceramic restorative materials have become an excellent alternative to both the anterior and posterior FPDs, due to advances in mechanical and aesthetic properties. This case report describes the use of a fixed partial denture to replace three units of a first premolar. The ceramic system used consists of a CAD-CAM processing of a ceramic base for yttrium stabilized zirconia (Y-TZP) and its veneering ceramic. The clinical protocol and advantages of this treatment option are discussed.
