OLIVEIRA, Osmiely Reis de et al. Users' evaluation regarding the quality of dental care provided by dental students. RFO UPF [online]. 2012, vol.17, n.3, pp. 319-325. ISSN 1413-4012.

Objective: This research aimed to evaluate the degree of users' satisfaction treated at the Dental School of the University of Pernambuco. Methodology: We conducted a cross-sectional study with a sample of 285 patients of both genders, aged over 18 years old who were in dental treatment for more than two sessions of care. Data were collected through an interview using a standard form. The level of significance considered in statistical test was 5%, and statistical techniques, both descriptive and inferential were used through Fisher's exact test and Pearson's Qui-Square. The statistic program used for data analysis was SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 17. Results: Results showed that users were predominantly female (72.6%), with income of 1-2 minimum wages (69.1%), and from the metropolitan area of Recife (70.9%). For most researched variables (satisfaction, acceptability, resoluteness, and infrastructure), the evaluation from users was positive for the FOP/UPE dental care. Regarding accessibility, most users considered it difficult or very difficult (63.2%). Conclusions: The level of satisfaction of FOP/UPE users was elevated due to the high percentage of positive answers. Through the evaluation of human dimensions and of acceptability it is also possible to notice that the students have an attentive and helpful profile.
