FERNANDES VOLPATO, Luciana; CANDIDO MARTINS, Luiz; DE CASTRO MENEGHIM, Marcelo  and  HEBLING, Eduardo. Access assessment in Family Health Units managed by Social Organization and Municipality. RFO UPF [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.3, pp. 349-356. ISSN 1413-4012.

Objective: this research aimed to evaluate the access to Family Health Units (FHU) managed by the city of Piracicaba, SP, Brazil and by a social organization (SO) located in the city of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. Subjects and method: the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) tool was used to assess the quality of access to FHU.The sample consisted of 480 volunteers, 400 service users and 80 profissionals. Results: after inter- views with healthcare users and professionals, the re- sults showed that the greatest need of users of the FHU managed by the city and the SO was scheduling ap- pointments for the FHU and scheduling appointments for specialized service. Conclusion: the research found that FHU managed by the SO did not obtain better ac- cess results, although having greater administrative and financial autonomy. Therefore, access is a challenge for the construction of integral care; also, actions and po- licies to reverse this reality should be implemented to improve health services in the Brazil.
