The "Dental care for children with traumas in primary dentitions" project was proposed to attend to an extremely high demand by means of a cross-sectional study conducted in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where the prevalence of trauma was 41.6%. The project has been in operation for three years, attending to patients every six months. Students can participate in the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters, as can monitors, selected through pre-established criteria. The project aims to propose the dental care of patients with health promotion concepts as well as by promoting the student's theoretical, practical, and scientific knowledge.
