The follow-up of child growth and development (CD) or childcare, when performed under the Family Health Strategy (FHS) works as an indispensable tool in the construction of the Health System, also proposing new forms of relationships between health professionals and children. It aims to follow the progression of children globally, covering all areas of knowledge in the health field to enable comprehensive care and promote quality of life. However, there are few reports in the literature regarding the completion of the CD in a multidisciplinary perspective, with the insertion of the dentist in child care. Thereby, the aim of this paper is to perform an descriptive experience report about multidisciplinary CD held in the Family Health Strategy Unit Cintra, located in Montes Claros, in the northern state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
