The study aimed an evaluation of the knowledge of odontology academics at the State University of Paraíba - UEPB, face to radicular resorption during orthodontic treatment analyzing the views of this event about endodonttc aspect, especially on diagnosis moment and professional conduct. 56 students, registered on fifth year of the course were evaluated by applying a questionnaire with five objective questions. The results are that 89,2% of researched think that it is possible to diagnose the resorption during the first exam and orthodonttc planning. To 75% of the academics, if diagnosed the resorption during initial planning, the case should be sent to an endodontist, requestion opinion. About resorption during orthodonttc movement, 42,8% of the academics thought that the professional should refer to endodontist requesting evaluation. About teeth presenting resorption and which had been submitted to endodonttc treatment, 73,2% said that the strength over them should decrease, and 26,8% thought it would be better not to apply any strength over the teeth. About preservation of resorption teeths in orthodontic treatment, 55,4% thought that regular consultations must occur during six months after treatment, 19,6% thought that regular consultations must occur even 1 (one) year and 25% thought that 2 (two) years would be ideal. Ater results, it we concluded that, to the most part of students, the diagnosis of resorption before orthodonttc treatment is necessary to prevent, and, the orthodontist have to keep an interdisciplinary behavior with endodontist, to prevention or intervention on resorption diagnosed.
