Bone remodeling is a continuous process that enables the replacement of old and damaged bone to new tissue. The repair around implants and bone grafts in unfavorable situations depends on the establishment of an adequate contact between bone and implant through the primary stability. Due the importance of primary stability in biomechanics and subsequent osseointegration, the combination of bio-absorbable to the site of installation of the implants becomes relevant. These materials, the highlight is the polylactic/polyglycolic acid copolymer (PLA/PGA), which could contribute to the temporary stability of the implants.
