The clinical characteristics of the Syndrome of the Combination described by Kelly in 1972 and presented in several studies reported in the literature, are the main sources of clinical diagnosis and planning for the attainment of a prosthetic rehabilitation in patients partially or totally edentulous. Different treatment were presented and described throughout the years, where all converge to the need to restore occlusal posterior contact and minimize the adverse effects of previous contact between natural lower teeth and acrylic resin teeth of upper complete dentures. The association of upper complete denture and lower removable partial prosthesis may be one of the factors triggering the combination syndrome, the aim this work was demonstrated the clinical characteristics and a method of treatment with return of function, aesthetics and phonetics the patients.
