Cysts are lesions formed by a cavity lined with epithelial tissue, which contains in its interior material liquid or semisolid, and may be classified into odontogenic cysts and non-odontogenic. Although there are several treatment modalities described in the literature for treatment of cysts of the oral cavity, to date not seen a consensus as to which technique offers the best results. Therefore, we sought to a case report using the technique of decompression, seeking to highlight their indications, advantages, disadvantages and other peculiarities.
