In 1964, Arquivos em Odontologia, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais began publishing the academic journal "Arquivos do Centro de Estudos da Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais" (ISSN - 0102-5902). Since 1998, the journal is called Arquivos em Odontologia (ISSN - 1516-0939 / ISSNe: 2178-1990). This journal is one of the first Brazilian scientific publications in the field and has played a key role in the publication of articles produced by researchers.

The journal aims to promote and publish intellectual production in the fields of health and education in Dentistry, accepting original articles of basic and applied research.
