OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to review Crossbite in the model study, the horizontal distance and characteristics of their children, 6 and 7 years who sought to Clinical Preventive Orthodontics II of the Faculty of Dentistry of UPF. METHODS: Were examined 14 individuals with Crossbite and 30 subjects with normal occlusion. RESULTS: The results were compiled, tabulated and analyzed by statistical methods T-student. The distances in cross measurements taken were not statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS: As there were no statistical differences detected, it is clear that to have a crossbite is not necessary to cross a very significant discrepancy.
