Abstract
ANDRADE, Eduardo Dias de; PINHEIRO, Marcos Luciano Pimenta and MOREIRA, Alcides. Conscious sedation with Triazolam in Dentistry. Arq. Odontol. [online]. 2011, vol.47, n.2, pp. 104-108. ISSN 1516-0939.
Triazolam, when administered orally, possesses a fast initial action, a relatively short action time, few active metabolites, and a high degree of clinical safety. So long as it is used in the appropriate dose, this medication can be considered one of the most suitable agents for conscious sedation in modern dental practices. The objective of this review is to present data related to the parameters of pharmacokinetics, dosage, precautions and contraindications, as well as the adverse reactions caused by Triazolam, in an attempt to justify its use in dental clinics.
