Abstract
CZLUSNIAK, Gislaine Denise and SCHWAB, Carolina Barbosa. Recessive generalized dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa: dental service protocol and case report. Arq. Odontol. [online]. 2011, vol.47, n.4, pp. 237-243. ISSN 1516-0939.
Epidermolysis bullosa is a mucocutaneous disease characterized by the formation of bullae on the skin and mucosa, which grow either spontaneously or from minor traumas. This illness has two types of inheritance: genetic and acquired. This disease is classified as simple, junctional, and dystrophic. The present article reports on an dental service protocol for patients with recessive generalized dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, as well as offers some considerations concerning the appropriate dental treatment.
