Abstract

BARREIROS, Ivan Doche; NOVAES, João Batista; LOPES, Sérgio Donizetti  and  VIEIRA, Lucas Paiva Lamounier. Exogenous and endogenous teeth whitening. Arq. Odontol. [online]. 2011, vol.47, suppl.2, pp. 223-225. ISSN 1516-0939.

Tooth bleaching is the most conservative way of recovering the normal color of darkened teeth. Its technique and the materials employed no longer use heat as a catalyzer. Instead, the products either promptly react with the dental structure or require the simple use of a cold light to be activated. The Project staff consists of three teachers and two residents from the course for the eduction of the staff of oral health assistants from the Dental School of Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Student selection is performed through an interview where their interest and commitment is assessed. No scholarships are granted in this project. The endogenous and exogenous tooth bleaching project fulfils its aim to give undergraduate students the required scientific and technical knowledge to perform such types of dental treatment.
