This article aims to assess whether the children who attend fulltime daycare centers have better oral health than the ones who attend them part time, for this assessment ceo medium, the percentage of treatment necessity, and caries-free were used as indicators. All the students at 5 years old in all the 31 municipal pre-schools were examined, of which 6 daycare centers with all the children in full time, 8 blended with children in both full time and part time, 17 pre-schools where all the children go only part time, and 4 private schools from Tatuí also participated in the sample, summing up to 682 volunteers, the oral health epidemiologic survey methodology proposed by the World Health Organization was used. For a significance level of 5%, the sample size has provided a power test higher than 0.80 for all the applied tests, the data was analyzed through Kruskal Wallis, Dunn an Fisher´s Exact tests, considering the significance level of 5%. Consequently, it has been concluded that the children who studied full time had higher results related to dental caries than the ones who studied only part time.
