Abstract
MARTORELLI, Sérgio Bartolomeu de Farias et al. Solitary neurofibroma of the oral cavity: a case report. Rev. cir. traumatol. buco-maxilo-fac. [online]. 2010, vol.10, n.2, pp. 43-48. ISSN 1808-5210.
Solitary neurofibromas are benign neoplasms originating in nervous tissue and rarely occurring in the oral cavity. They may present as sessile or pedunculated lesions of fibrous consistency, and can be easily confused with other soft tissue lesions such as fibromas. In this article the authors report a case of an intra-oral solitary neurofibroma in the anterior region of an edentulous jaw. The treatment performed was excisional biopsy.
