SASSI, Laurindo Moacir et al. Rare case of squamous cell carcinoma of superior lip in brown-skinned patient. Rev. cir. traumatol. buco-maxilo-fac. [online]. 2011, vol.11, n.1, pp. 27-30. ISSN 1808-5210.

Lip squamous cell carcinoma is more common on fairy-skinned people with low tanning capacity, directly related to chronic sun exposure. Nearly 90% of cases occur in the lower lip, and the upper lips rarely committed (7%). Here, we report a rare case of squamous cell carcinoma of the upper lip in a brown-skinned pacient.

Keywords : Squamous cell carcinoma; oral cancer; ultra-violet radiation.
