Abstract

OLIVEIRA FILHO, Francisco de Assis et al. Guided bone regeneration with immediate loading in esthetic site: a clinical case report. Rev. cir. traumatol. buco-maxilo-fac. [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.2, pp. 33-38. ISSN 1808-5210.

The alloplastic bone substitutes have been largely used with the aim of achieving excellence in the restoration of esthetic areas. The role of these biomaterials is to restore the buccal bone wall, and thus give the health and functionality of the peri-implant tissues. The professional's decision by the procedure of implant placement immediately after the tooth extraction is a reality, especially by the optimization of time, decreased surgical interventions and preservation of peri-implant tissues. This article reports a case of a female patient, 36 years old, in which the removal of the endodontically compromised right side upper lateral incisor was performed, and an implant was immediately installed, associated with guided bone regeneration using bovine bone and membrane barrier in sites with bone defects in the area of the implant placement, which was a site with high esthetic requirement. After 12 months of follow up the patient presents excellent functional and esthetic result.
