Abstract

NOGUEIRA, Emerson Filipe de Carvalho et al. Eminectomy in patient previously submitted to Wagner & Wagner technique: Case Report. Rev. cir. traumatol. buco-maxilo-fac. [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.4, pp. 37-42. ISSN 1808-5210.

Dislocation occurs when the mandibular condyle is displaced out of the glenoid fossa after a resultant of forces which may be from a trauma, even a physiological gapping movement. It can be classified as habitual or recurrent according to the number of recurrences and the patient's condition. The treatment of this disease can be divided into two basic types: limiters, which create obstacles to condylar translation or facilitators, which will assist the return to normal position of the condyle. The objective is to present a case of mandibular dislocation after performing the technique of Wagner & Wagner previously, where we chose new approach using eminectomy.
