The immune-mediated skin diseases are associated the production of antibodies against self-specific structures of the skin and mucous. These disorders have inflammatory and chronic characteristics. These interactions between the antibodies and the host tissue result in the formation of intraepidermal blisters affect the skin and mucous. This pathological process is referred to as autoimmune vesiculobullous disease and the most common diseases are pemphigus, erythema multiforme, lichen planus and pemphigoid. This paper presents a case report of cicatricial pemphigoid occurring in a 36 year-old female patient. The knowledge of this condition by the dentist is important of the early diagnosis to better prognosis the cicatricial pemphigoid.
