The September edition of RSBO once again has news in relation to databases, once this journal has now been indexed in the Free Medical Journals and Redalyc databases, thus increasing even more its scientific visibility. As a result of these indexes, some structural changes in RSBO were required to international standardization, such as the information for the citation of articles on their first page and the simplification of the affiliations of authors. Altogether, RSBO is currently indexed in 8 databases and under evaluation in two others, which shows the constant editorial board's concern in keeping the seriousness and the development of the research published here.

Another change, this one in the editorial line, is that since 2009 the articles with the agar diffusion methodology have not been recommended by reviewers. Hence, the RSBO journal decides from now on to no longer accept studies involving this methodology, so that the articles will not be even sent to peer review, thus being immediately returned to authors. To justify this decision, we decided to ask professors Erick Miranda Souza and Fernanda Geraldes Pappen to write the editorial guest of this edition, by showing the worldwide trend of the periodicals in relation to this methodology, so we invite you all to read this text.

Finally, we would also like to comment to our readers the misclassification of the RSBO journal in Qualis Capes, because the journal was classified as B5, but it is actually B4, once that according to the Qualis criteria journals indexed in Lilacs are B4. This mistake (for the second consecutive year) was due to the fact that RSBO is not cataloged in Lilacs as "RSBO", but in its quotation form, that is, "Rev Sul-Bras Odontol". We have already communicated this to Capes, and that mistake should be corrected in the next Qualis.
