RSBO reaches its tenth volume. Decimal numbers are always emblematic, leading us to commemorative actions, marking above of all the time. This was not different for RSBO staff. We would say that more than reaching this, when some does not, we have the responsibility with you, the reader, and the desire to do things as much correctly as possible.

Such responsibility makes us to create and maintain a journal with increasingly better quality. Today, RSBO is indexed in several Brazilian and world databases, which can be freely accessed anywhere, requiring only the access to the World Wide Web (so-called internet). Talking about quality, we are always searching for constant perfection, from the communication with our readers, authors and reviewers, to editing, publication time and respect for deadlines.

RSBO born from the desire of providing the reader with the most current scientific evidence on all Dentistry areas through the online access of all these information in order that the reader does not demand much effort to this access. The increasing search for RSBO makes us believe that we were right. The significant increase in the number of papers to be submitted and their quality make us surely believe that RSBO has contributed to the development of the dental science.

We are aware of the changes within the current scenario. The internet and the fast information access make obsolete the today truth. Information can be contested immediately or at a short time amount. RSBO’s goal is to provide all that to the reader. This tenth volume will comprise all year of 2013, seek for more dynamism in the relationship among the journal, authors and readers, to evolve in which we have more engaged: give update information and contribute for the scientific evolution within dental science.

We have already heard within the class the following question: how to keep update with the amount of available information and mainly with the speed that this information reaches us? The response is very simples: it is impossible. Currently, it is necessary to filter this information. The attentive reader, who is able to distinguish which is needed from which is not, is whom advances in knowledge, uses the best knowledge both in his/her favor and in favor of the science, mainly values which is more precious: the time.

RSBO wishes you a good reading and at this first issue of 2013, a Happy New Year.
